FRIDAY FIVE: 5 WISH LIST ITEMS FROM OHWHATSTHIS

When Oh What’s This launched their new online shop I was super excited to have a look around. They handpick items from independent retailers and designers for you to shop in one place. Here are five of the things making their way onto my Wish List… OhWhatsThat Wish List

  1. Concrete & copper candlestick holders by S O R T London, £19 here
I need these. I do, I do, I do. I love the mix of industrial concrete and shiny copper (pretty sure I was a magpie in a former life…). Each candle holder is handmade and would look fantastic on my wooden dining table.
  2. Copper dipped planters by S O R T London, £12 here
These are so cute that they might even manage to make me keep a plant alive for longer than a week. The pots are made from hand mixed porcelain cement in black, grey and white and the only problem is deciding which one to go for!
  3. Pom pom cushion, £25 here
It has pom poms. POM POMS! Do I need to add anymore? This cushion also comes in a larger, square size and has lots of different colour options for the pom poms. I’m resisting the temptation to order a hot pink one immediately…
  4. Roses Are Pink fine art print by Lola Donoghue, from £80 here
I adore Lola Donoghue’s work and already own two of her prints. They’re definitely statement pieces in a room, especially if you go with one of the bigger sizes.
  5. Eames style chair by Shabby Stores, £44.99 here
This is a great replica of the classic Eames chair. I know replicas can be controversial but this is an affordable way to get the look for those of us who can’t quite afford the real deal. I’m thinking of getting one of these for either my desk or for the dressing room.

FRIDAY FIVE: 5 ETSY FINDS FOR A HOME SPA SESSION

As the nights are starting to get darker and we move that little bit closer towards full-on Winter is Coming territory, I’ve got back into the habit of evening baths before bed. This week I’ve hunted around Etsy for a few treats for some at home evening pampering sessions; just add a good book and a glass of wine…

Etsy At Home Spa Pamper Session Picks

  1. Kimono Dressing Gown by VerryKerry, £109 here
If I’m going to pamper myself, I want something beautiful to put on afterwards. Made from pure cotton, this kimono is a stunner and there are more designs available. This is going to be making it’s way onto my Wish List.
  2. Wooden Bath Caddy by  BousUK, £40 here
How are you going to balance your wine and book without a bath caddy people? You need one in your life. I love mixing in natural wood finishes in a bathroom to keep things from feeling too stark, this bath caddy is made from reclaimed pallets and has such rustic charm. Also, it’s made in my home town so it gets an extra thumbs up for that!
  3. Eucalyptus, Lemon & Cedarwood Candle by WildheartOrganics, £8.95 here
Every good pamper session needs a candle and I’m definitely going to order myself one of these. I love this combination of scents, but there are others to choose from on their Etsy site if this doesn’t float your boat. The apothecary style jar adds a little something to this vegan soy candle that has 40 hours clean burn time.
  4. Scented Lavender Neck Cushion by FingerPrickingGood, £15 here
As someone who loses track of time and finds herself spending hours in the bath, I’m always attempting to make myself more comfy by shoving towels under my head whilst having a soak. Filled with Yorkshire lavender to aid relaxation this is another item jumping onto my Etsy shopping list.
  5. Organic Soothing Muscle Rub by WhiskeyRunCo, £10.65 here
My only non UK based pick, this organic, vegan muscle rub just sounds so tempting to help get rid of the days aches and pains. They have great reviews on Etsy and have a range of balms / skincare items on their Etsy page.

FRIDAY FIVE: 5 THINGS UNDER £10 TO BUY FROM IKEA

Ah, IKEA. How I love thee. I know it seems to be the done thing to hate on IKEA but it’s such a guilty pleasure of mine.

A lot of people seem to think Ikea is just filled with quick fix, mass produced crap but I genuinely think a lot of their products are really great value.

These are my top 5 picks you should definitely grab on your next visit and all are under £10.

Ikea Bargain Buys

  1. KNAGGLIG boxes £9 / £5 here
I love these boxes and have been grabbing a couple every time I go to IKEA. They’re perfect for almost anything from using in a pantry to cute storage for toiletries / hair tools. They’re solid wood, super sturdy and can be jazzed up by painting or staining them.
  2. DEKAD alarm clock £4.50 here
Super cute, this looks adorable on your bedside table.
  3. SINNLIG candles £2.50 / £0.85 here
These candles come in two sizes and a few scents but my personal preference is the small vanilla ones. They’re long lasting, smell really good and for 85p you can keep buying these while you save up for that Jo Malone or Diptyque candle you’ve had your eye on…
  4. TEKLA tea towel £0.35 here
I mean, they’re 35p. What’s not to love?! If the price hasn’t already convinced you these tea towels are absorbent, don’t leave any pesky bits of lint on your glasses and wash well. The classic simple design is an added bonus.
  5. FANTASTISK paper towels £1.25 / 100pack here
These napkins may be cheap but they’re brilliant quality; suitably thick and absorbant, they’re great for parties and I always pick up a pack whenever I’m at IKEA.
