I’ve never been one for New Year’s Resolutions. Mainly because I’m well aware of my general lack of motivation, commitment and will-power in most things but, this year, I though I’d try to make a couple of personal goals, rather than resolutions, for the coming year…
- Regularly update the blog
The aim has always been Monday, Wednesday and Friday posts, the reality has often been sadly lacking. Must do better. - Home updates
I really need to crack on with prioritising some of the work that needs doing / I want to do in the house. I plan on creating a To-Do list early in the New Year to help me focus on what I want to finish off (hello, dressing room that still isn’t finished…) and what I want to get completed this year. It’s time to make my surroundings more of a home and less of a building site / storage unit. - Quit the “I’m too tired” excuses
Whether it’s turning down an opportunity / invite or just searching for a reason to put off taking off my make up at night this needs to stop. - Home cooking / meal planning
Between the unscheduled eating out, takeways and forgoing a proper meal in favour of a quick, on-to-go snack I’d like to try to be a little more disciplined and aim to make at least 80% of my meals home-cooked and intentional. - Do MORE
I’m so lucky to live in a city that has lots much to offer; museums, galleries, yummy restaurants, etc etc… (and to live in a country where everything is very easily accessible – the UK is SMALL) but I rarely visit any of them. Time to get up, get out and see more of the amazing things on my doorstep…
