APRIL BEAUTY FAVOURITES

It’s monthly favourites time! These are the items I’ve been using and loving this month… April Beauty Favourites

It’s quite a short list this month as I’ve spent most of my time desperately trying to get progress made in decorating my dining room but a few things have really stood out for me – some new, some old favourites that I’ve revisited and brought back into rotation.

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser £7.50 › available here
I picked this up on a whim after realising I’d forgotten to pack a cleanser for a weekend away. Made with almond oil, rose water, beeswax and honey, Ultrabland is a soft, gentle balm cleanser that removes all traces of makeup and leaves my skin feeling really hydrated. It’s been hailed as a cheaper alternative to the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm and I can see why – it’s pretty much identical in terms of texture and results. I’ve been using it to remove my makeup all month and it’s been fantastic – just make sure to really wipe it off your face as it will leave a residue if you don’t.

Sachajuan Volume Shampoo £18 › available here
I used this shampoo for most of last year but ran out and only just picked some more up this month. I’d forgotten what a difference it makes. Not only does it make a visable difference in volume it also leaves my hair feeling beautifully soft and manageable. Plus, it smells divine. Time for me to just bulk buy this stuff I think!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush £5.88 › available here
This has been the only brush I’ve used this month for applying foundation and I wish I’d been using it for longer. It leaves a flawless finish to my foundation, buffing it into my skin beautifully with no streaks, patchiness or brush strokes.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 02 Apricot Shimmer £18 › available here
April has been a funny month here in the UK. Parts of it have been gloriously sunny and parts have felt like we’ve gone back to winter. For the sunnier days I’ve been reaching for this Clarins Lip Perfector in the shade 02 Apricot Shimmer. For some reason I had got it into my head that this colour didn’t suit me when I bought it last summer and it’s sat in a drawer since – perhaps it’s working better on me now that my skin is paler? Regardless, I’m loving how this looks and feels on my lips. For a gloss it’s got a great wear time and gives a nice amount of colour and shine.

MAC Lipstick in Plumful £15.50 › available here
I tossed this into my make-up bag for a weekend away earlier this month and it’s reminder me just how much I love this colour. I think this might just be my all time favourite MAC lipstick. It’s a brilliant option for a lip that’s a little bolder but still really easy to wear, especially throughout the day – I often find I stick to nudes but this is one that never feels too much.
