When I created my house To Do list at the start of the year bathrooms didn’t feature on it. Why? Because, quite simply, kitchens and bathrooms tend to be the most expensive rooms in a house to re-vamp so, whilst I’m no fan of the kitchen and bathrooms in my house, I just couldn’t justify ripping them out and starting from scratch when they were perfectly functional (the picture below shows what the main bathroom looked like when viewing the house before we moved in), just not remotely to my taste.

Then the problems started. Continue reading “BATHROOM MAKEOVER INSPIRATION #TILEMOUNTAINFACELIFT”
APRIL GLOSSYBOX FIRST IMPRESSIONS

It’s been ages since I got a Beauty Box. I used to get a couple each month for over a year but started to find the brands and products a bit samey after a while so cancelled my subscriptions.
I decided to give them a try again this month and the Glossybox arrived today so I thought I’d do a quick first impressions post.
MARCH BEAUTY FAVOURITES
It’s monthly favourites time! These are the items I’ve been using and loving this month…
Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in Cuba, £8.99, available here.
I raved about this wonder product in my review so it’s no surprise that it made it into my monthly favourites and there’s really probably not a lot more I can add, but I’ve been reaching for this on almost a daily basis. I think it’s going to be a staple in my make-up bag for a long time. Continue reading “MARCH BEAUTY FAVOURITES”
STYLE EDIT: LONGLINE TOPS
Longer hemlines are featuring everywhere in the Spring look books and as someone who is pretty tall (I’m almost 5′ 10″) with a long body this is a seriously welcome trend.
I generally find a lot of tops just aren’t long enough for me and either hit that super unflattering point that makes you seem wider than you are, look like you’ve shrunk your top in the wash or that you got a little confused about what the cropped top trend actually meant. Even if you’ve not that particular set of problems to deal with, a longline top is just a super flattering, easy to wear look. Here are some of my current favourites…

Top Row:
Longline Checked Blue Shirt, Missguided, £22 here.
Linen Mix Plum Longline T-Shirt, Next, £14 here.
Wrap Longline Black Blouse, River Island, £32 here.
Middle Row:
Denim Blue Longline Shirt, Next, £35 here.
Lace Black Longline Bralet, Topshop, £24 here.
Bottom Row:
Block Stripe Longline Vest, ASOS, £16 here.
Blue Stripe Longline Shirt , New Look, £17.99 here.
Strappy Neck Longline Grey Side Split Top, Missguided, £15 here.
