MAC’s latest celebrity collaboration launched in the UK last week and I ordered one as a little birthday present to myself. Finally Free has been developed in collaboration with Caitlyn Jenner and shares the same charity principles as the Viva Glam lipsticks, with all of the RRP value (minus VAT) going directly to causes benefiting the transgender community in the UK.
‘Finally Free’ is described as a ‘mid-tone rosy nude’ and on me that’s definitely an accurate decision. I’d call it a ‘my lips but better’ shade, that’s got a slightly rosier hint than my natural lip colour making this a perfect everyday lip option. I feel like it’s a more flattering version of the 90’s nude, as it definitely leans more berry toned than brown on me.
The cremesheen formula feels soft and creamy on the lips, is extremely comfortable to wear and has a slight natural looking shine to help give the illusion of a fuller pout.
All in all, I love it. Thumbs up, Caitlyn. It’s a fantastic wearable shade that would suit anyone and, if that’s not reason enough to buy it, its proceeds go towards a great cause. I’m already toying with buying a second one because I can see this getting a heck of a lot of use.
MAC X Caitlyn Jenner Finally Free Lipstick is priced at £15.50 and is available at MACcosmetics.co.uk
