Happy April! Seriously, where is this year going? Spring is officially here and, hopefully, nicer weather will eventually be on the way. I love this time of year – there’s something about the clocks jumping forward and getting that extra daylight that makes me feel much more motivated to tackle items on my never ending To Do lists.
March was a pretty great month for me, and I FINALLY got back to blogging, but I think April will be even better. I’m never been one for New Year’s Resolutions but I do like to set myself weekly and monthly goals so I thought I’d start sharing them here – I’m incurably nosy so I always love reading other peoples posts about their monthly goals and sometimes it helps inspire me to see more, do more, experience more.
APRIL GOALS
- Continue my weight-loss progress.
I talked a little bit about it in this post – How To Regain Your Motivation To Lose Weight – but in the three weeks in March since I started I managed to lose 9 1/2 lbs. I don’t really want to set a certain amount to lose, because I always think any downward progress is good progress, but I would like to hit that 1 stone off mark this month – anything additional will be a welcome bonus. - Start some regular exercise.
I’m planning on easing myself in gently to this so the aim is going to be to complete a 30 minute walk, 2-3 times per week. - Make progress towards starting a capsule wardrobe.
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now (I first talked about it in this post back in 2015!) so I’d like to work towards getting a capsule wardrobe in place this month so I can at least try and see if this would be a method I could live with. - Read Hilary Mantel’s book Bring Up The Bodies.
I read Wolf Hall years ago and loved it. I’ve had this on my bookshelf for ages so it’s definitely time to get this read. - Watch some films from Bill Hader’s 200 Essential Movies Every Comedy Writer Should See.
He’s hands down my favourite SNL alum so now I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of watching all the films on this list. I’m going to try to watch two new films a week in an attempt to work my way through the list. - Post regular blog content.
I seem to have got back into the blogging groove so I’m determined to not let myself slack here. The aim had always been to have three posts a week so if I can stick to that this month I’ll be pleased.
Do you have any new goals for the month?
