FRIDAY FIVE: SHADY LOOKS

My holiday countdown is officially on and the weather seems to be quite nice here in the UK at the moment (although obviously saying that will immediately jinx it and we’ll have torrential rain for the next few days…) so sunglasses are on my mind, on my face and, more often than not, on top of my head.

You can never have too many pairs of sunglasses and here are five of my favourite picks in five different styles…Sunglasses roundup

FRIDAY FIVE: BARCART ESSENTIALS

Everyone loves a bar cart, right?! Whilst I might not have room for dedicated bar cart, I’m planning on squeezing in a bar cart-esque tray on the DIY fauxdenza I’m putting in the dining room.

Here are five of the bar cart essential tools and accessories I’m adding to my “Must Buy” list…

Barcart essentials: cocktails shaker, bottle opener, stirring spoon, muddler, gold striped straws

  1. Urban Bar Gold Boston Can cocktail shaker, £14.52 from LoveTiki
  2. Hay cap bottle opener, £9 from Amara.com
  3. Urban Bar Gold Teardrop Stirring Spoon, £12.41 from LoveTiki
  4. Wooden muddler, £2.79 from Amazon.co.uk
  5. Gold striped straws, £2.95 from Rockett St George.

STYLE EDIT: LONGLINE TOPS

Longer hemlines are featuring everywhere in the Spring look books and as someone who is pretty tall (I’m almost 5′ 10″) with a long body this is a seriously welcome trend.

I generally find a lot of tops just aren’t long enough for me and either hit that super unflattering point that makes you seem wider than you are, look like you’ve shrunk your top in the wash or that you got a little confused about what the cropped top trend actually meant. Even if you’ve not that particular set of problems to deal with, a longline top is just a super flattering, easy to wear look. Here are some of my current favourites…
