MY DREAM MAC BLUSH PALETTE

I spent a fair bit of time this weekend organising and tidying my make-up stash and realised I’m getting to the stage of hoarding with MAC blushers that I could definitely justify getting myself a palette to hold them. This let to a spot of browsing on MAC’s website because, if I’m going to get a blush palette, I might as well think about getting a couple more blushers to fill it, right?!

Jump forward a couple of hours and I had a list of about twelve blushes that I’m convinced I absolutely, totally, 100% need in my collection. Someone needs to stage an intervention. Rapidly!

But it did made me think about creating my ideal MAC bush palette – so here’s what would be making it in to my dream MAC blush palette…

Dream MAC Blush Palette: Peachykeen, Well Dressed, Fleur Power, Melba, Desert Rose, Harmony

TOP ROW:
Peachykeen – Very baby peach [Sheertone Shimmer]
Well Dressed – Immaculate pink [Satin]
Fleur Power – Soft bright pinkish-coral [Satin]

BOTTOM ROW:
Melba – Soft coral-peach [Matte]
Desert Rose – Soft reddish-burgundy [Matte]
Harmony – Muted rose-beige brown [Matte]

All in all, this seems like an excellent excuse for me to buy a few more blushers…

What would make your dream MAC blush palette? Any good ones I’ve missed out?

EMPTIES #1

Empties - round up #1After realising I couldn’t squeeze anything else into the box I’ve been using to store my empties in since starting this blog I realised an empties post was well overdue.

So here’s a run down of some of my recent empties with my quick thoughts on each and links to any full reviews I have done… Continue reading “EMPTIES #1”

FRIDAY FIVE: TRAVEL BUCKET LIST | SUNSHINE EDITION

Travel bucket list - globeI’ve been doing a spot of online window browsing at holidays this week. I’m hoping to get away at some point next month – work schedules permitting. I’ll probably only be able to squeeze in a week away, maybe ten days if I’m lucky, and I’m not really looking for anything more than somewhere where I can get some sunshine and laze around reading a book with a cocktail in hand.

Sometimes you just want a holiday where you can be super lazy and relax, sometimes you want something with a lot more exploring and sightseeing so here are five of the places making my travel bucket list for when I’ve got a little more energy for some serious adventuring… Continue reading “FRIDAY FIVE: TRAVEL BUCKET LIST | SUNSHINE EDITION”

ONE ROOM CHALLENGE | WEEK FIVE: LET THERE BE LIGHT

If you’re visiting for the first time then, welcome! Here are the links to Week One, Week TwoWeek Three and Week Four.

With one week remaining I’m a combination of thrilled with how far this room has come and slightly panicing that I’ll never get it all finished.

My main aim for this week was to get the new light fitting up and have the doors between the dining and living rooms in place, which hasn’t been finished but a decent amount of progress has at least been made on them.

I knew I wanted pocket doors but had no way of adding them so decided to cheat a little to get the look. On the living room side of the wall which divides the two rooms the plan has always been to add a full wall of bookcases so I’m going to attach doors that will slide behind those bookcases, giving the look of pocket doors. After spending a fair amount of time looking at doors and debating solid vs glass panelled doors I spotted this image on Pinterest, which quickly became my inspiration for the door project.
